South Africa wakes up to a mix of settled and unsettled conditions this Wednesday, with clear skies and warm afternoons expected across much of the interior, including Johannesburg reaching 28°C, Polokwane 28°C and Mbombela climbing to a balmy 31°C. Showers and thundershowers are on the cards for the Eastern Cape around Gqeberha and the Northern Cape near Kimberley, while Cape Town stays cooler under high-level cloud at 20°C and Durban sits comfortably between 19 and 24°C with partly cloudy skies. - Very cold, wet and windy conditions (with maximum temperatures below 10 °C) over the high-lying areas.
- Disruptive rainfall leading to possible localised flooding over the south-eastern parts of the Western Cape.

- Damaging waves (reaching 4.5 to 5.5 m in places).

- Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in places in the Blouberg Local Municipality of Limpopo, most parts of the Northern Cape except the western parts, as well as Mohokare Local Municipality of the Free State.
