Inland stays largely dry and warmer, with Johannesburg, Polokwane and Mbombela mostly clear and the Northern Cape, North West and Free State climbing towards the high 20s and even 30 in Kimberley. Do bear in mind that extreme veld fire conditions remain a concern in several provinces, so take extra care with anything that could spark a blaze.
