Even before the latest season of Real Housewives of Johannesburg (RHOJ) has aired, Gugu Khathi is already involved in drama. According to allegations, the businesswoman and socialite have been fired from the show. However, Gugu completely denies this.
Gugu Khathi fired from RHOJ due to a “physical altercation”
According to City Press, Gugu, Brinnette Seopela, and Christall Kay were all fired from the reality show after the trio allegedly got into a physical altercation.
However, Gugu immediately acted and contacted ZAlebs to set the record straight. The publication revealed that Gugu sent them private messages on Instagram, claiming that they “don’t have your facts right”.
She further threatened that if the story is not removed, she will take legal action.
“…if this story is still up, I will have no choice but to [demand] an apology legally.”
Gugu says she quit due to “uncomfortable content”
Even though Gugu could not speak about everything regarding RHOJ, she could explain that she resigned from the show and that it had nothing to do with the fight.
“Me and Brinnette resigned because we were refusing to shoot some content on the show that made us really uncomfortable.”
She also addressed the physical fight and said that it took place long before they resigned. Gugu further added that the problem lied with the production house, not with Christall.
It was further reported that Christall only found out about the new season thanks to City Press. The publication apparently called her to ask about it and she revealed that she didn’t even know that filming for the new season had already begun.
