The game has not yet been released but land sales started on the 10th of February 2022 and those lucky and wise individuals who have purchased any number of the colonies are all guaranteed many special airdrops in the coming months leading up to the launch.
The Game
The stellar team behind Tiny Colony has promised us a game comparable to Oxygen Not Included and Fallout Shelter, but better and much more ant themed. As we can see in the short clip above the resemblance is clear. You as the player are presented with a piece of earth cut horizontally from a side view perspective very much like the aforementioned game titles or a traditional “ant colony” in a terrarium. Colonies or Lands
There are seven different types of colonies available each with it’s own unique characteristics, theme and rarity. The colonies, including the number originally created, are as follow starting with the most common to the most rare.

You can view and purchase these that are still on the market on the Magic Eden exchange or on the Fractal Marketplace with the use of the Solana token.
Tiny Packs
Tiny packs are the airdrops or rewards that the tiny colony team are distributing to those who hold colonies in their wallets. You can only be eligible for these airdrops as long as your colony is not up for sale. The rarity and ultimate the value of any of these are determined by the rarity of the colony.
The first tiny packs to be airdropped are cute hand drawn pets. These adorable NFT’s will live in your colony providing happiness which in turn improves the overall effectiveness of the colony. All you need to do to keep them happy and doing their job is farm some SUGAR in game to feed to them. These are expected to start dropping in March of 2022 so if you would like to get some cute pets for free then quickly go grab some colonies.
We can expect more tiny packs to drop after that but what they will contain is yet to be confirmed. In the meantime they are doing regular giveaway competitions on the Discord channel for those who own and have verified ownership of colonies. Anime
Yes, you heard me. Anime, the makers of Tiny Colony will also release an full blown anime series that will tell the story of the tiny colonies and their struggle against the dark spirits. We have not seen any footage yet but from what they have told us we can expect a top tier anime that will undoubtedly boost the popularity of the game even more. The more people playing the game the better it is for everyone involved so this is extremely bullish news.
Earning Potential
As I mentioned Tiny Colony is a play to earn game. You can play for free without owning any colonies but for a greater experience and far greater earning potential you will need to own some lands. While playing the game you stand to earn $TEENY the in game token through several mechanics. You can then use this token to improve your colony in several ways and ultimately you can exchange it for $TINY the utility token which you can then wither use to buy more NFT’s or exchange it for FIAT money or any other Cryptocurrency of your choice.
Over and above the gameplay earnings you can also use your colonies to earn passively. Yes you can earn by simply owning the colonies. There are two ways to do this that we are aware of right now. One is to rent your colony out to other players where you can earn a percentage of all their earning while playing. There will also be staking opportunities both for the colonies and your @TINY which essentially means you lock it up for a bit and earn interest on it.
