Skeem Saam actress Innocent Sadikie is making big moves after she discovered that her previous movie The Throne will now be available on Netflix.
Innocent Sadiki talks Skeem Saam and films
In an interview with News24, the Skeem Saam actress shared her excitement about the exciting role. To date, The Throne is a film that was first released in 2018. However, the film will now be available to stream on Netflix.
Thus far, Innocent Sadiki explained that her role in the film is very different from who she is as a person. While she played different roles in Soap Opera and films, Sadiki explained that her role as the wife of an heir to the throne took a lot out of her to tap into character.
“I’m completely different from Mahlatse, so it took a lot [of me] in terms of characterization because I literally had to tap into her. She’s so different – the way she carries herself, her posture, her style is so different.”

While talking more about her character, the Skeem Saam actress noted that her character is cunning and evil. She further added that her role as a wife in the film does carry some similarities. However, it was different from any other role she has played to date.
“She’s quiet, but she carries so much power and authority. She’s an underdog in the family who is hungry for power but does not show it,”
Presently, the film is about two brothers who now have to fight for the throne after their father’s passing. But, Innocent Sadiki’s character contributes a whole lot to her husband succeeding on the throne.
As shared by News24, the Skeem Saam actress noted that this was her first international act and spoke about what it meant to her to be on a large-scale platform. She recalled the first time hearing about the film being on Netflix.
“Sipho called to tell me, and when I checked, I was like, ‘wow, this is great’,”

While the film is one of her great achievements, Innocent Sadiki also shared details about her experience filming the movie. The actress talked about her cast mates and how it has been for her to tap into character.
“It was awesome because I worked with legends.It was a beautiful experience. We were away for some time, about a month, filming the movie so we grew to become a family, a close-knit family.”
