How to Play Lotto and What Does a Ticket Cost?

A single Lotto play will cost you R10.00 VAT incl per play.
A single cost of Lotto Plus 1 will be R2.50 VAT incl.
A single cost of Lotto 5 Max will be R2.50 VAT incl.
To play Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto 5 Max, choose six numbers between 1 and 52; either choose your own numbers, or use the Quick Pick option — a random selection generated by the computer.
You can only play Lotto Plus 1 if you are playing Lotto. You can only play Lotto 5 Max if you are playing Lotto Plus 1.
Important to note and to be aware: if you use any of the online services, there might be an additional charge, and you must always check the terms and conditions.
Remember to write your details on the back of your ticket. You need this if you need to claim a prize — if you do not sign your ticket and you lose it, anyone will be able to use it to claim the prize.
What days are Lotto played in South Africa?
Draws takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays in South Africa.
