On Sunday, 5 December, Iggy Azalea took to Twitter to share a reminder for all single parents over the holiday season.
The Australian rapper is raising her son, Onyx Kelly, alone and reminded single parents that it’s okay to not have the “traditional family unit”. Azalea noted how stressful it can be when feeling the pressure to make everything “perfect”. But the “Fancy” singer reminded all the single parents out there that “what you bring to the table is enough”.
In late 2018, Iggy Azalea began dating rapper Playboi Carti and in June 2020, the pair welcomed their son into the world. However, in October, Azalea released a statement saying “I’m raising my son alone & I’m not in a relationship“.

Iggy Azalea’s fans appreciated the message and sent the love right back.
One fan responded with, “That was very heartfelt. shout out the single parents making a way out of no way!”, with another fan commenting, “‘To all the big sisters that turned into moms to help their moms, thank you”.
Someone else said: ‘Single mom here. Don’t go broke trying to overcompensate for the absent parent. I had to learn this. You kid(s) will love what you get and smile. Does it suck at times, YES. But you got this.’
