What happens in Vegas didn’t stay in Vegas after all. This past weekend, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker were two of the many celebrities to visit Las Vegas to attend the Grammys. But we don’t think any of the other guests ended up getting married by the end of the night!
The couple claims it was “only for fun”
After Travis rocked out at the Grammys, the super in-love couple seemed to really enjoy their night and partied all the way to a wedding chapel.
According to TMZ, Kourtney and Travis walked into One Love Wedding Chapel in Vegas at 1:30 in the morning – accompanied by their security and photographer. And it was apparently a must that an Elvis impersonator officiates the ceremony.
A source from the chapel confirmed that they do not perform the ceremony unless a marriage license is shown. And, originally, to a source close to Kourtney and Travis, they did have a license and even had to show it to the chapel owner.
“I didn’t know who it was until they pulled up. I advertise as 24-hours but they wanted to make sure I was still there. They paid and they requested Elvis Presley, that was mandatory. I called back 5 minutes later and was like, I got an Elvis, and there they were,” Chapel owner Marty Frierson told PEOPLE.
However, the situation has become a bit of a “he said, she said” scenario as Kourtney and Travis now claim that they hadn’t actually gotten a license and “only did it for fun”. So in other words, if what the chapel says is true, they are legally married. But if what Travis and Kourtney are saying is true, they are not actually married. Just super excited we guess?
Plenty of Kourtney and Travis celebrations to come
After dating for eight months and getting engaged in October last year, fans have been waiting in anticipation for any hint at the couple’s wedding plans.
And now that “Kravis” tied the knot in Vegas, fans fear that we may never get to see the big “I do” moment. But according to the same source close to them, the couple said that there will be “several” more celebrations to follow.
