Selena Gomez has always been open and honest about her struggles with mental health as well as her battle with Lupus but the singer is getting more candid than ever.

The documentary, My Mind and Me released on Apple TV follows the life of Selena Gomez and her life as a public figure and a pop star above all.

Selena Gomez opens up about her personal life

As many may know, Selena Gomez, started off her career in the entertainment industry as a child star on popular shows such as Suite Life and Wizards of Waverly Place. While this may have seemed all good and well, the singer noted that she never really wanted to be famous.

“It’s like, my whole life since I was a kid, I’ve been working … the only thing I want is [to be] a mom. I don’t wanna be super famous. I just feel stuck, and I just wanna move forward.”

While speaking on her journey through surviving Lupus, Selena Gomez shares that all she wants to do is become a mom but she fears that her medication may prohibit this wish from ever coming to fruition.

One of the hot topics that have made its rounds on the internet includes her relationship with her former boyfriend Justin Bieber. The singer previously released a track called Lose You to Love Me following her very public breakup with her fellow pop singer.

Relationship and self-esteem

In explaining the lyrics and the inspiration for the song, Selena Gomez shared that it is a song that deals with the way someone may begin to find themselves again.

“The song is about knowing that you completely lost every part of who you are just to rediscover yourself again. Everything was so public. I felt haunted by a past relationship that no one wanted to let go of, but then I just moved past it and I wasn’t afraid anymore.”

Ahead of her documentary release, Selena Gomez shared with Vulture that posing with Hailey Baldwin wasn’t a very big deal. This comes after intense speculation that the latter had stolen Justin Bieber from her in the past. A rumor that both have since denied.

“Yeah, it’s not a big deal. It’s not even a thing.”

Right now, the documentary, My Mind and Me follows Selena Gomez through various stages of her life as a child up until her adult life. The footage also includes the singer in a vulnerable state in the hospital.

In her most important message of all, Selena Gomez shares her struggle with self-esteem and how it has impacted her life. As well as the importance of kind words.

“It’s OK to feel not good enough and to feel like you’re complicated and complex. It’s just about having a healthy relationship with how you talk to yourself, how you seek help, how you talk to other people,”
