Shakira is making lemonade out of lemons. Following her public split from her boyfriend Gerard Pique, the singer is letting the world know how she feels.
Shakira blows off steam on Brzp Music Session Vol 53
While the singer has already addressed her breakup in her track titled Monotonia, she is blowing off some more steam. That is in her latest track titled Brzp Music Sessions.
Speaking about her ex-boyfriend, Shakira says,
“Sorry, baby, I should have thrown you out a while ago / A she-wolf like me is not for rookies / A she-wolf like me is not for guys like you / For guys like you / I ‘m too good for you and that’s why you’re with someone just like you,”
The romance which has been widely followed went sour after Gerard Pique cheated on the singer. Their romance recently went viral after rumors surfaced that Shakira found out about his affair when she noticed someone had eaten from her tin of jam.
It is alleged that Gerard Pique and her sons do not eat jam. This ultimately led to the singer’s revelation about her boyfriend cheating.
In another part of her track, Shakira also addressed being left with her in-laws as neighbors. She also talks about being deserted by him during her current legal battle with the Spanish government. The singer possibly faces jail time for taxes that reportedly was never paid. She says:
“I ‘m not getting back with you, don’t cry for me, nor beg me / I understood that it’s not my fault that they criticize you / I only make music, sorry that it bothers you,” she sings. “You left me the in-laws as my neighbors / Media outlets at my door and in debt with the government / You thought you hurt me, but you made me stronger / Women don’t cry anymore, they cash in.”

Addressing the new romance
Ultimately, it wouldn’t be a diss track if she didn’t address his current romance and how much he messed up.
“I wish you good luck with my supposed replacement / I don’t even know what happened to you / You’re so weird I can’t even recognize you / I ‘m worth two of 22 [year old] / You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo / You traded a Rolex for a Casio / You’re going fast, slow down / Lots of time at the gym, but your brain needs a little work too,” Shakira sings.
Since the release of her new track, Shakira has celebrated a great milestone. The singer has become the most-streamed female artist on Spotify after surpassing 50 billion streams on the platform.
Her new song Bzrp Music Session 54 has reached over 200 million streams on Youtube in the past week. The singer’s recent success proves that there’s always light at the end of the tunnel.
