On Wednesday, London-based South African musician Toya Delazy, announced that she and her wife Allison “Ally” Chaig are expecting their first child together.
Toya DeLazy is excited to become “a mommy”
Toya, real name Latoya Nontokozo Buthelezi, took to social media to share her excitement and debut Ally’s baby bump.
“And just like that…Guide us universe, as we walk into this next chapter of our lives,” she wrote.
“Thank you for choosing us to bring forth this beautiful life force. We know it’s an incredible gift and miracle.”
Toya and Ally dated for more than 10 years while the “AfroRave” artist lived between SA and the UK. And in October 2021, the couple officially began their life together when they got married.
While announcing the couple’s exciting news, Toya dedicated a portion of her caption to her wife.
“I love you my gorgeous Alisson Chaig. Doing this with you is one of the most incredible experiences. I couldn’t have chosen a better soul to build umuzi kamama (my mom’s home). Here’s to the part called Motherhood. Livumile. We’re pregnant, I’m gonna be a mommy.”
