We all know and love the popular show Project Runway and could probably hear Heidi Klum’s “Auf Wiedersehen” all too clearly in our minds. The show has been running since 2004 with supermodel Klum and fashion consultant Tim Gunn being the duo that came with the show.
That is until their departure from the show in 2018. Since 2019, designer Christian Siriano and model Karlie Kloss replaced the iconic due. However, season 19 of Project Runway is here and Karlie Kloss is nowhere to be seen.
Speculations on why Karlie Kloss did not return to the show
Since it has not officially been confirmed why Kloss left the show, speculations have been made that the latest season may have come at an “inconvenient time” for the model as she was pregnant with her first child.
Kloss and her husband welcomed their baby boy in March 2021. And season 19 of Project Runway would have been released on the 1st of July when Kloss would have had a newborn baby to look after.
Project Runway season 19 hosts and judges
Although she is no longer permanently part of the Project Runway team, it is reported that Kloss will be “making appearances” during the 2021 season.
Christian Siriano is now hosting the show alone and this year’s judges include Nina Garcia, Brandon Maxwell and Elaine Welteroth.
Many guest judges will also appear in season 19 including Jason Wu, Gigi Hadid, Taraji P. Henson, Billy Porter and more.
