Model and Graduate Reeva Steenkamp brought to life with new documentary
Presently, the second part of the docuseries will air on September 1st and the third will air the next Thursday on the 8th of September.
Years later, the crime that shook the world still comes as a sensitive topic to many. The docuseries come during the birth month of Reeva Steenkamp as well as women’s month.
On valentines day in 2013, Oscar Pistorious alleged that he thought intruders were in the home and shot through the bathroom door. This resulted in fatal wounds and the death of Reeva Steenkamp.
This doccie's victim focus resonates with me. Reeva's murder shocked the world and impacted so many lives, and 9 years later, there are still so many unanswered questions. I hope that when #MyNameIsReeva starts on 25 August at 20:30 on @MNet some of those will be answered. pic.twitter.com/arA6cuFH4v— True Crime South Africa Podcast (@TCSApod) July 31, 2022
Right now, the Steenkamp’s approved of the documentary and will also be featured in the documentary. The docuseries is meant to show who Reeva was and trace back her life before it was tragically taken.
To date, many empathize with the Steenkamp family. And were simultaneously shocked at the senseless death of Reeva Steenkamp who was a model in her prime. She was only 29 years old when she died.
So far, the documentary will be produced with the utmost sensitivity and will reflect and honor the memory of the late Reeva.
