Tokara – Stellenbosch
Tokara is situated in the beauty of Helshooge mountain in Stellenbosh and has a stunning restaurant as well as the Tokara Delicatessen.
And not only is the food to die for from both restaurants, but the whole Tokara is safe and fun space for kiddies! With gorgeous views and gardens, flat lawns to run around and even a sandpit.
There is also a beautiful play park in full view of the outside area of the deli. The park is shaped as a tree house and even has safely ropes.

Bosjes – Breedekloof Valley
Bosjes is definitely one of the most beautiful and architectural-pleasing places to visit. This stunning farm has two restaurants available – Bosjes Kombuis and Bosjes Spens.
And for the little ones, there are tons of gardens to explore, a water play area, and even a treetop walk. And in front of the Spens, a big green lawn spreads out – perfect for the kids to play.
Mont Marie Restaruant – Stellenbosch
Mont Marie is situated in between the breathtaking mountains of Stellenbosch on the Blaauwklippen road. The restaurant prides itself for offering “a unique food, wine and family experience” in the “lap of casual luxuary”.
This stunning restaurant also offers a beautiful outdoor play area. And the area is enclosed, so the parents can relax whilst knowing the kiddies can’t just run off.
There are even a few tables available in the play area too.
Millhouse Kitchen – Somerset West
The Millhouse Kitchen is situated on the beautiful Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West. The restaurant gets most of its inspirations from French and Italian cuisine and only use fresh ingredients in a 50km radius from the farm.
And not only will you be able to enjoy a delicious meal but the kids will also love the outing thanks to the farm’s water feature. This is especially perfect for summer time!
Luscious rolling lawns also surround the water area, which also makes it the perfect family picnic spot.
Hazendal Wine Estate – Bottelary Farms
The stunning Hazendal Wine Estate has a variety of offerings – from a Russian Tea Experience to craft beer at the Pivnushka Beer Garden.
And as the owners of the farm is very family-oriented, they created Wonderdal, a edutainment centre for kids. Book a 2 hour play session for your kids age 5 to 13. And while they enjoy a supervised and educational play session, you can either enjoy a wine tasting or perhaps a delicious meal at the Babushka Deli.
And with another jungle gym play area for the smaller kiddies, and rolling lawns, Hazendal is also a perfect picnic spot.
