Takeoff has been confirmed to have passed on in the early hours of November 1st. He was 28 years old.
Rapper Takeoff is declared dead on the scene
After countless sources shared that Takeoff had been fatally shot at a bowling alley earlier today, TMZ confirmed that the news is in fact true.
Presently, the news outlet shares that Takeoff was the only person who ended up getting hurt at the time. His uncle, who goes by the stage name Quavo was by his side at the time the rapper was shot.
Graphic images and videos that have since made their way onto social media have continued to make their rounds. Takeoff is reported to have been shot at 2:30 am on November 1st.
In an audio obtained by TMZ, an individual called the police to notify them that someone had been shot at the Billiard Bowling alley in Houston, Texas this morning.
Hip Hop community mourns a huge loss
Unfortunately, when the police and paramedics arrived on the scene, Takeoff was unresponsive. The rapper was declared dead on the scene.
Thus far, Takeoff was one-third of the Migos trio who were best known for their hits such as Fight Night and Bad and Boujee. The group included his uncle Quavo and his cousin Offset. While previous reports shared that Quavo was injured, the rapper reportedly is not injured at all. Just hours before his death, the rapper posted a picture of himself at the bowling alley.
Right now, the loss of Takeoff is heavily felt by the Hip Hop community. As many rappers have lost their lives to gun violence this past year. This comes as rapper PnB Rock was also shot and killed while out with his girlfriend and the mother of his children.
To date, rapper Desiigner has taken to social media to express his distress on the passing of Takeoff. The rapper shared that he is “done with rap” following the killing of Takeoff in the early hours of this morning. See the tributes below.
