A previous Pinelands North Primary teacher is dedicated to helping a young boy named Siyabonga Lusaseni. He currently needs assistance to complete his primary school education.
Siyabonga Lusaseni’s financial crisis
Since enrolling at Pinelands North Primary, Siyabonga Lusaseni has been financially supported by a donor. Since then, the little boy has been relying on it to continue his schooling. However, circumstances on the donor’s side have changed, and is no longer able to afford this expense. This now leaves the young learner vulnerable in his early educational career.
In order to prevent his schooling journey from coming to a halt, his former teacher, Megan Culligan has reached out to the public. In order to spread the message about Siyabonga’s schooling career.
So, for the public to support it, a donating website has been set up. A few donations have already been made to Siyabonga’s schooling at Pinelands North Primary.
While describing his character, his previous teacher shared that he has a “heart of gold” and loves sports and being active.
She shared, “Over the years I have had the privilege of seeing Siya grow and thrive in this environment”. She added that “He is a beautiful little boy with a heart of gold”.
Megan added that “He loves school and learning, and has built many wonderful relationships with his teachers and peers over the years. He is full of energy, love and enjoys sports and being active.”
How to donate
His teacher noted that all the funds made towards the initiative will solely be for his education career, his aftercare, tutoring costs, and a chrome book which is required from Grade 6 onward.
The current fundraising target is at R55 289 with donations only as high as R13 thousand, currently. In order to make a donation towards his schooling, donors can head to the BackaBuddy website to make a contribution. Donations of any kind are highly appreciated.
Siyabonga Lusaseni is currently in Grade 5 and his educational needs from this initiative will be able to fund his educational career from here on out.
