John Aniston is remembered by his daughter as the most “beautiful human [she] ever knew”.
This past Monday, Jennifer Aniston took to her Instagram to announce that her father, John Anthony Aniston had passed away. No cause of death has been shared.

The actress wrote, “Sweet papa… John Anthony Aniston. You were one of the most beautiful humans I ever knew. I am so grateful that you went soaring into the heavens in peace – and without pain. And on 11/11 no less! You always had perfect timing. That number will forever hold an even greater meaning for me now 🕊️I’ll love you till the end of time💔”
Presently, John Aniston is also known for his roles on shows such as Gilmore Girls, Search For Tomorrow, and The West Wing. However, the actor only became popular for his role as Victor Kiriakis on the Days of Our Lives.
John Aniston would then appear on the Days of Our Lives on and off for 37 years. Earlier this year, the actor received the lifetime achievement award from the Emmys. His daughter Jennifer Aniston paid tribute to him via video. The actor did not attend the ceremony at the time.
“It’s an opportunity to not only pay tribute to a true icon in the daytime television world, but it’s also a chance to recognize the lifelong achievements of a great and well-respected actor, who also happens to be my dad,”
The news was met with support messages from celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez and Lily Collins. The latter said, “sending all the love and light possible and hugs I can possibly give.”

Thus far, John Aniston and his family are originally from Greece. Upon migrating to the US, the clan decided to shorten their name from Anastassakis to Aniston.
During Jennifer’s early career days, John Aniston noted that he didn’t want his daughter to enter the entertainment industry under the premise that “show business stinks”. Evidently, Jennifer Aniston did not heed to this advice as she would then go on to starr on one of the most successful sit-coms, Friends.
However, John Aniston’s career also spans at least 50 decades long as he first became popular in the 1980s on the soap opera Days of Our Lives.
John Aniston has so far been married twice with his first wife being Nancy Dow. he was more recently married to his co-star Sherry Rooney. He leaves behind his wife Sherry, and his two biological children Jennifer Aniston, and Alexander Aniston. He also leaves behind his stepson John Melick.
