June petrol prices are already looming over SA motorists
With May petrol prices just settling in for the month, analysts and economists are already warning motorists about the upcoming price hike in June.
As reported by BusinessTech, the only reason why there was some relief with May prices was due to costs being offset by the government’s intervention. This refers to the reduction of the general fuel levy (GFL) which is reduced by R1.50/litre until 31 May.
And since it is not guaranteed that the GFL intervention will maintain, experts say that it is inevitable that motorists will have to deal with the “extra” R1.50 levy calculated within the overall petrol prices.
Thus, there is a possibility that petrol prices will increase by R3.00 in June.
Pokomela signs on with DHL Stormers
Loose forward Junior Pokomela has signed a three-year deal that will see him play for the DHL Stormers until at least 2024.
Pokomela joined the DHL Stormers on loan at the start of the Vodacom United Rugby Championship and made the move permanent by signing a contract earlier this year.
