Both Thsobeni (Orlando Pirates) and Modise (Sundowns) have been sent out on a season-long loan for the rest of the 2021/22 Premier Soccer League campaign and is set to join the Hammerboyz.
Azola Tshobeni from Orlando Pirates
The 19-year-old midfielder will now be continuing his football career in the GladAfrica Championship with JDR Stars. The youngster only got prompted to first-team in early 2020 after some impressive performances of Pirates DStv Diski Challenge.
Tshobeni made his debut for Orlando Pirates last year January, playing over 70 minutes against Maritzburg United. This loan move is certainly about offering the player more game time elsewhere. The Bucs squad welcomed plenty of new faces this season and competition for a place in the starting line-up is set to be extremely difficult.
Now, with Tshobeni gone, new signings Goodman Mosele and Ntsako Makhubela will be competing for a place in the team with Mntambo, Makgaka, Fortune Makaringe, Thabang Monare and Ben Motshwari.
Malebogo Modise from Mamelodi Sundowns
Mamelodi Sundowns had to say farewell to left-back Modise, who will be joining Tshobeni at JDR.
Modise had been on loan at Maritzburg in Sundown this past season. However, the player only appeared in the PSL for Maritzburg 10 times before returning to Mamelodi Sundowns. Modise returned with the hope to get some playing time after the departure of full-back Tebogo Langerman. However, Modise found it difficult to break into the starting line-up of the team.
Both players are feeling positive about the loan for the season and fans are looking forward to seeing them on the field.
