Thilo Kehrer started at the VfB Stuttgart youth academy before moving to Schalke 04 in 2012.
The Francophone player made his senior debut against Borussia Dortmund on 6 February 2016. He went on to make 59 competitive appearances, scoring four goals.

In summer 2018, Kehrer moved to Paris Saint-Germain with whom he played 128 games, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
In four seasons with the Rouge-et-Bleu, Kehrer contributed to winning 3 Ligue 1 titles, 2 Coupes de France, a Coupe de la Ligue, and a Trophée des Champions.

The Germany international defender, who has Burundian roots, is an established senior international, moving through the ranks from the U16 team to make his senior debut against Peru on 9 September, 2018.
