Sundowns have had crisis with foreign quota as the Premier Soccer League only allows a club to have five foreigners registered for the season.
While they already had five international players in the squad they decided to sign other two foreign players in Marcelo Allende (Chile) and Abdelmounaim Boutouil (Morrocco).

In making space available the aforementioned signings, they had to apply for Peter Shalulile for the South African Permanent residence and sacrifice Safranko.
The 27 year-old lanky striker joined Sundowns last season from Romanian Liga 1 side Sepsi OSK and made a total of 29 appearances and scored 9 goals for Masandawana.

One of the key goals that Safranko scored was the winner against Royal AM to ensure that Sundowns progressed to the final of the Nedbank Cup.
Pavol, who has been a consummate professional throughout his stay at Sundowns is now free to join the club of his choice.
