Timo Werner has returned to the team for which he scored 95 goals in 159 appearances between 2016 and 2020. During his time at Chelsea, the 26-year-old won amongst other honours the UEFA Champions League. Now Werner wants to push on at RBL.
When Werner originally joined RBL six years ago, he’d already picked up a respectable amount of experience in professional football (over 100 appearances), but despite spending most of that time playing as a centre forward, he’d only managed 15 goals. During his time in Leipzig, he became the youngest-ever player to score a Bundesliga brace and perfected the art of goalscoring.

Werner scored 23 goals and got 21 assists for Chelsea, and started their 1-0 Champions League final victory over Premier League rivals Manchester City in May 2021 at the Estádio do Dragão in Porto, lifting the trophy at the end of the night.
He went on to win the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup whilst at Chelsea. Last season, Werner scored four goals and got two assists in just 245 minutes in the Champions League – which is a goal contribution every 41 minutes.
