At the age of 50, Theuns Jordaan passed away on Wednesday morning, 17th of November 2021. The singer was diagnosed with leukaemia last year September.
Tributes to Theuns Jordaan
The sad and shocking news went public as Armand Hofmeyr took to social media to share his tribute.
Armand, who is also in the music industry and Steve Hofmeyr’s son, shared how much he learned from Theuns in the music industry.
“Theuns my old friend, I learned a lot from you. Most of my writing work is based on what you taught me. I would’ve liked to learn a lot from you. REST IN PEACE… This is heartbreaking.”
Theuns Jordaan is mostly known for his songs “Soos Bloed” and “Sal Jy Bly”. And with being in the Afrikaans music scene since 2000, fans throughout the country will certainly miss his soothing, raspy voice.
