Eddie Murphy shares advice for up-and-coming actors and actresses
It’s been a few months since Will Smith notoriously slapped Chris Rock at the Oscar Awards in 2022. The action came as a result of a joke made about Jada Pinkett Smith’s alopecia. This year, Eddie Murphy thought it a perfect time to bring it up and make a little jokey joke about his friend Will Smith.
While accepting his career achievement award, Eddie Murphy noted that he has been in show business for 46 years and the movie business for 41 years. He added that this has been a long time in the making.
Before ending his speech Eddie Murphy expressed that there are ways to achieve success. Revealing that there are three simple ways to achieve it.
He said, “I want to let you know there’s a definitive blueprint that you can follow to achieve success, prosperity, and peace of mind. It’s very simple,” he said. “There’s three things: pay your taxes, mind your business and keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out your f***ing mouth!”

Career achievements
To date, Eddie Murphy is a six-time Golden Globe nominee. In 2007, the actor was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in Dream Girls alongside Jennifer Hudson, and Beyonce. The actor ultimately scooped up his first Golden Globe for the film in 2007.
In the years to come, Eddie Murphy will starr in a range of films. His most recent film will be the comedy rom-com You People by director Kandi Bariss. You People is co-written by Kandi Barris and filmmaker and actor, Jonah Hill.
