The week opens wet and rumbly across the Free State, with Bloemfontein seeing showers and thundershowers on Saturday and Sunday around 24C. Bethlehem stays showery too, sitting near 25C, while Kroonstad hangs onto warmth around 28C. Things settle a little midweek as Monday turns partly cloudy, but another round of showers and thundershowers rolls back in on Tuesday. By Wednesday and Thursday it dries out and cools slightly, with mostly clear skies to close the week.
Do keep an eye on the sky early on, as the South African Weather Service has severe thunderstorm warnings out for the Mangaung, Tswelopele and Masilonyana areas. If you are near Bloemfontein or Hoopstad, plan outdoor jobs for the calmer, clearer days later in the week and keep the washing under cover.
