The week in the Northern Cape starts unsettled, with showers and thundershowers over Kimberley on Saturday and a foggy Sunday morning to follow. Midweek stays changeable, with partly cloudy skies on Monday before more showers and thundershowers return on Tuesday. Things settle and warm nicely towards the weekend, with Kimberley reaching 29C under mostly clear skies on Thursday. Upington follows a similar path, easing from thundershowers to mostly clear, while Springbok starts with rain showers before brightening up.
Do keep an eye on the SAWS severe thunderstorm warnings for Garies, Springbok, Alexanderbaai and Pofadder, especially early in the week. If you are travelling near those areas, plan around the fog on Sunday and Wednesday mornings and give yourself extra time on the roads.
