The Brazilian went straight into the heat of the action, in the middle of the park, and was able to help the Reds see out an important three points on the south coast.

The 30-year-old completed his move to the Reds from Real Madrid on Monday and after making his debut, he will no doubt now be looking to get more minutes in a United shirt.
Erik ten Hag was asked for his assessment of the match of Casemiro in United colours.
“I think it was quite good for him to see what the Premier League is,” the Dutchman told reporters.

“It’s a different style, he has now a pre-season, he played some games, he played one time 90 minutes, but he is fit.
“He had a good pre-season with a lot of training sessions and now we have to integrate him in the team in a way of play and to integrate him with his teammates.”
