Among the transfer rumours flying around in PSL include Stellebosch defender Zitha Kwinika’s alleged move to Kaizer Chiefs.
However, speaking to KickOff Magazine, Kwinika denied that he would be moving back to his former club next season as it has been rumoured in the media.

“I’ve been linked with Chiefs for how many years now?” Kwinika asked.
“There’s been smoke for the past three years now, and this has been the longest smoke I’ve ever seen (laughs).”
“Let’s just use ‘might’ because I’m unable to confirm something that’s not true and that does not make sense.
“Personally, I have not spoken to Chiefs, and I have not spoken to anyone from Chiefs.
“The only thing I can confirm is my remaining contract includes an option for an additional year at Stellenbosch.
“The club has already decided to exercise that option, that’s what I know.”

Nevertheless, the 28-year-old says he would welcome the opportunity to move to any Johannesburg-based club since it’s his home.
“If that happens, it could be Chiefs or any team that is good for me then I would do it.
“It’s not about Chiefs only, but even if it’s Orlando Pirates I’d be open to going.
“As long as I’m home in Joburg, even if it’s Sekhukhune, I would go because I will be home.
“If it meets my terms and makes sense to me, then I don’t have a reason not to go.”
