“Before we even start discussing next season, [I must state] the fact that Orlando Pirates have exercised the option to extend his contract which means that he is contracted to Orlando Pirates for a further two seasons,” Makaab said on Gagasi FM.

“We always knew that that would be the case, however, after sitting down with the chairman, he’s made it clear to me if we have a team that shows interest and the deal is a good deal for both club and player, he’ll consider it.
“I’ve spoken to Gabadinho and the most important thing is he’s fully committed to Pirates for the remainder of the season, he’s a professional. He has to do what he has to do as a professional football player.”
