Bongani Zungu has responded to transfer rumours that link him to Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs.
“Ben 10” as he’s affectionately known is back in South Africa after ending a season at Amiens SC in the French Ligue two. His contract is running out on 30 June and it remains to be seen where his next home will be.

Masandawana who are the former employers of “Ben 10” are believed to have launched a bid for Zungu. His first stint with the Brazilians ended in 2016 when he was transferred to Portugal’s Victoria Guimaraes.
While Chiefs haven’t made any bid as far as Zungu comments are concerned. Zungu says he’s looking to get a long-term contract as he hopes that it will be the last deal he signs in his football career.
“I’m very calm. As I said earlier, this is a very, very important part of my football career. For me, I want it to be maybe my last contract of my career,” he said on Sports Night Amplified with Andile Ncube.
“Whether abroad or at home.”
Zungu is said to have offers in Europe and in his interview with Ncube, he revealed that it’s only the Brazilians who have made formal contact with his agent.

“I met president Motsepe the other year and he told me Sundowns will always be home,” he added.
“So Sundowns will always be my home, no matter what happens from now until when I make my decision on where I’m gonna play.
“Sundowns is the only team that spoke to my agent and they are speaking to my agent still. Others are trying to [as well].”
Zungu also opened up on Chiefs rumours of having an interest in him. “I’m a top player, of course teams are going to try and find out what’s your situation and all. My phone is open, I’m listening to [offers].”
