Zwane was delighted to see his side coming from 1-0 down to win 3-1 over Stellenbosch.
The Phefeni Glamour Boys are sitting in the fourth place in the DStv Premiership standings having collected 18 points after 10 games.
Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana scored three all goals of his side from penalty spot.
‘10111’ says this is the Chiefs he grew up supporting.
ZWANE REACTS TO WIN OVER STELLIES
“You must’ve seen this season, this is a different Kaizer Chiefs altogether,” he told SuperSport TV.
“This is a team that came back from, I don’t know, maybe six or seven games going one goal down, but we were very consistent, we never gave up. We kept on believing that we can come back and get the win.
“Remember the game against SuperSport, and in other games unfortunately we didn’t get the winning goals, but we came back from behind.
“Yes, there is a worrying factor, but it also shows the character. This is the Kaizer Chiefs I wanted to play for, the Kaizer Chiefs I are up supporting.
“Last minute of the game, we used to say ‘it’s not over until the fat lady sings’ and that’s the Kaizer Chiefs mentality and that’s the character that we’re building.”
With regards to Bimenyimana’s substitution, Zwane said:
“After scoring the third goal, I was more worried about Caleb, he was on a yellow and for us to keep him out of the field is because by nature he is aggressive, so he could have easily picked up a second bookable offense and then we miss him in the next games,” he told SuperSport TV as quoted by Soccer Laduma.
“I had to take him out, bring on ‘Mshini’ [Nkosingiphile Ngcobo] to slow down the game but also knowing that we still have Keagan [Dolly], [Kgaogelo] Sekgota and ‘Ash’ [Ashley Du Preez] upfront.
“So he can easily connect with them to score more goals and we actually dropped the tempo, which I’m quite not happy about, we could have easily scored four goals, five, six goals today because you’re gonna need these goals come the end of the season.
“But there’s no doubt, we played against a good team, it’s just that today I think we were far a better team.”
