What is Muvhango all about?
Muvhango is one of Mzansi’s oldest and beloved soap operas, created by Duma Ndlovu. The first episode aired in 1997 on SABC 2 and Muvhango was the first Tshivenda language drama on TV. However, the soap opera later became multilingual to portray the message that the languages and cultures of SA should bring people together rather than divide.
The show has strong family-orientated storylines and always strives to bring awareness to the conflict between the traditional and modern ways of life.
