Peter Farrelly directs I Play Rocky, a drama about how Sylvester Stallone, then an unknown actor, refused to let anyone else play the boxer he had written. Told no at every turn, he bet everything on himself and held out for the lead. Anthony Ippolito heads the cast alongside Matt Dillon, AnnaSophia Robb, P.J. Byrne, Toby Kebbell, Tracy Letts, Jay Duplass and Stephan James.
Amazon MGM Studios has now released a second trailer for the biopic, which leans into the long odds Stallone faced while chasing the role of Rocky Balboa. Running 128 minutes, the film was produced by Toby Emmerich, Christian Baha and Farrelly. It opens in select cinemas on 6 November, followed by a wider release on 20 November.
