Jane Austen’s beloved novel returns to the screen as Pride and Prejudice, a six-part limited series about love, longing and first impressions. Author Dolly Alderton wrote the adaptation. Emma Corrin takes on the role of Elizabeth Bennet, opposite Jack Lowden as the proud Mr Darcy, while Olivia Colman joins the cast as Mrs Bennet, the matriarch determined to see her daughters married.
Opening with the famous line “It is a truth universally acknowledged…”, the trailer introduces Netflix’s take on the Regency romance and its three leads. South African viewers can stream the drama on Netflix from December 3.
