Bringing the long-running anime saga to a close, Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend follows Sakuta Azusagawa as impossible dreams begin coming true across the world. Directed by Soichi Masui, the 118-minute animated mystery drama features the voices of Kaito Ishikawa, Asami Seto, Sora Amamiya, Aya Yamane and Konomi Kohara. Its story centres on overcoming Puberty Syndrome itself.
In the trailer, famed actress Mai Sakurajima stuns a cheering crowd by declaring that she is really Touko Kirishima, a scene Sakuta first saw in a dream on Christmas Eve. After that April 1st reveal, the #DREAMING hashtag vanishes and a warning arrives from his other self. The film plays in theatres for three nights only, February 21, 23 and 24, 2027, in English dub and subtitles.
