Opens in cinemas on 4 December 2026
Set against the glittering excess of Art Basel Miami, Cathy Yan’s comedy drama The Gallerist follows an ambitious gallery owner, played by Natalie Portman, who is clinging to the edge of elite society. Reeling from a nasty separation and facing mounting financial hardship, she is desperate to prove herself. Jenna Ortega, Sterling K. Brown, Daniel Brühl, Charli xcx, Zach Galifianakis, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Catherine Zeta-Jones co-star.
In the new trailer, an impromptu act of survival sees her conspire to pass off an accidental corpse as the centrepiece of her debut show. That gamble spirals into a sly game of deception and ticking-clock chaos as influencers and police close in. Yan co-wrote the 88-minute film with James Pedersen, and it opens in cinemas on 4 December 2026.
