The trailer in brief
Misfit mercenaries must save a threatened kingdom
Laura Bailey, Ashley Johnson and Liam O’Brien star
Red band trailer for the adult animated series
Streaming on Prime Video from January 28
Rowdy, ragtag and more interested in cheap ale than heroics, the mercenaries of The Legend of Vox Machina care mostly about easy money. That changes when evil threatens the kingdom and the crew realises only they can restore justice. Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Liam O’Brien and Marisha Ray lead the voice cast of this animated action comedy, directed by Stanley Von Medvey and Alicia Chan.
This red band trailer leans into the group’s crude, chaotic attitude as a simple payday turns into the origin story of Exandria’s newest heroes. Episodes run around 26 minutes, and the show carries an 18 age rating. South African viewers can stream it on Amazon Prime Video from January 28.
