Photographer Annie Leibovitz has created a visual presentation of the Jaguar Type 01 luxury grand tourer featuring British actor Florence Pugh. The project follows Pugh’s appointment as the inaugural ambassador of the brand’s new era, and marks the next step in that partnership.

The portrait series explores individuality, confidence and creative ambition, which Jaguar names as values behind both the car and its wider transformation. Pugh is positioned as a reflection of the original and creative spirit the company wants for its reimagined identity.
Rather than using the car as a backdrop, Leibovitz said she wanted to photograph the two subjects “with the same curiosity, exploring their relationship as two distinct characters within the frame.” She described Pugh as bringing warmth, presence and humanity, with the car sculpted, precise and striking in its form.
Type 01 premiere at STORIED in New York
The collaboration comes after the world premiere of Type 01 at STORIED in New York, a venue that once housed Leibovitz’s studio. At that event, photographer Frankie Aldino, a mentee of Leibovitz who was personally recommended by her, captured portraits of attending talent and guests. Jaguar presents this dual commission as part of its commitment to emerging artists.
