Visitors to the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas will be the first to see the Valhalla Spider, Aston Martin’s first mid-engined open-cockpit production supercar, when it makes its global debut there. It follows the Valhalla Coupe introduced earlier this year.
Development drew on continued collaboration with Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT), the consulting arm of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Team, on dynamics, aerodynamics and materials. Chief executive Adrian Hallmark said the Spider preserves “the aesthetic beauty and dynamic bandwidth of Valhalla Coupe while introducing the expanded opportunities for enjoyment and engagement that can only be found in an open-cockpit supercar.”

Valhalla Spider roof and wind deflector
A removable, stowable black fabric roof is standard, although the carbon fibre hard top comes as standard in the USA. With the fabric roof fitted, speed is limited to 124mph (200 km/h). The optional carbon fibre hard top allows full use of the 217mph (350 km/h) electronically limited top speed, which can also be reached with the roof off. Owners also get a rain cover for static use.
When the roof panel comes off, a wind deflector clips into place to manage airflow over the cabin, pulling cooling air down to the snorkel while lifting air over the occupants. The snorkel has been reprofiled and sits 35mm taller. With the roof on, the deflector folds into three parts and stores in new 15-litre sill stowage apertures. A carbon fibre Touring Seat is standard, while the coupe’s original carbon fibre seat can be retained at no cost.
Hybrid V8 powertrain and drive
Outputs match the coupe at 1,079PS and 1,100Nm. A bespoke flat plane crank 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 produces 828PS, a specific output of 207bhp per litre and the highest of any Aston Martin combustion engine. Three e-motors and a High-Performance Battery add 251PS. Two of the motors drive the front e-axle with full Electric Torque Vectoring, and the third sits alongside the 8-speed DCT transmission to help the V8 drive the rear axle and e-diff. With no mechanical link between the axles, the Integrated Vehicle Dynamics Control system manages drive to each wheel across four driver selectable modes.
Aerodynamics, carbon tub and doors
Changes from the coupe are limited to revised active aerodynamics and Electronic Stability Programme calibrations, tuned for roof-on and roof-off running. Maximum downforce exceeds 600kg with the roof fitted. The car is built around a version of the coupe’s carbon fibre tub, designed and engineered by AMPT using Resin-Transfer-Moulding and F1 derived autoclave technology. Its carbon fibre dihedral doors are now frameless, with refined kinematics and more curvature on the glass top edge to ease entry and exit.

Valhalla Spider deliveries
Deliveries of the Valhalla Spider start in Q3 2027, following its public debut in Las Vegas.
