Twelve months after its UK launch on 23 October 2025, Geely Auto has recorded 15 264 vehicle registrations in the country. The Chinese carmaker now has a retail network of 80 locations, 92 employees and a new UK headquarters at Ansty Business Park in Coventry.
Geely Auto sales growth in the UK
September delivered 5 155 registrations, the strongest month since launch, and the company says it is on target to reach 20 000 units registered in 2026. Managing director Michael Yang said reaching the first 10 000 sales took ten and a half months, while “we will complete the second 10 000 in just three and a half months.”
Three new energy vehicle models are currently on sale in the UK, with a further three expected to join the line-up in 2027. Large fleet deals have also been secured with Tusker and Octopus.
Dealer network and Coventry headquarters
Earlier this week the brand signed the contract for its 100th UK location, in line with an aim of having 100 sites open by the end of 2026. In the longer term it plans between 130 and 140 dealers, with the stated focus on throughput, viability and profitability for each site rather than the total number.
The Coventry building brings together all departments, from sales, marketing and aftersales to product, network development, legal, IT, customer experience and retail operations.
Sponsorships with Team England and Coventry City
Beyond the showroom, the company has signed partnerships with Team England and Coventry City Football Club. These sponsorships are intended to introduce the brand to new audiences while supporting sport and community activity.
Geely Auto targets for 2027 in the UK
For its second year, the brand is targeting 45 000 UK registrations in 2027, more than double the 2026 goal. Yang said establishing a successful brand takes time, adding: “We are here for the long term, and our first year is just the start of the journey.” Geely Auto plans a total of 10 models in the UK over three years from the EX5’s October 2025 launch, with annual sales of more than 100 000 units, sold through a national dealer sales and service network.
