Yorkshire buyers now have a dedicated place to see the Genesis range, with Genesis Motor UK officially opening Genesis Leeds on Gelderd Road. The site is operated in partnership with automotive retail group Lithia and serves Yorkshire and the surrounding region.
Genesis retail network in the UK
The Leeds site follows recently opened retailers in Glasgow, Surrey, Cannock and Kent. These sit alongside the brand’s established Genesis Studios in London, at Westfield and Battersea, and in Edinburgh.
Ben Sargeant, Director of Genesis and Customer Strategy at Genesis Motor UK, said the opening “marks another exciting next step in the rollout of our retail business model.”
Inside the Genesis Leeds showroom
Spanning over 147 square metres, the glass-fronted facility shows the full Genesis line-up, with both new and Genesis Certified pre-owned models available to view. Among them is the GV60 Magma, the brand’s latest high-performance model.
A dedicated customer lounge forms part of the layout. It reflects the brand’s approach to Korean hospitality, known as “Son-nim”.
Lithia as the Leeds operator
Lithia represents a portfolio of premium automotive brands and has a long-standing relationship with Hyundai. Rob Miller, Group Vice President at Lithia, said the showroom introduces the brand “to customers across Yorkshire and the surrounding region.”
Genesis expansion across Europe
Founded in Seoul, Genesis launched in Europe in 2021 and is headquartered in Frankfurt. Its range comprises the GV60, Electrified GV70, Electrified G80 and GV90, with the GV90 flagship SUV set to arrive in Europe in 2027.
Genesis Motor Europe currently operates in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the UK, and Spain will soon become its seventh European market. In 2027 the company plans launches in further markets, including Austria, Denmark, Poland and Portugal. Customers in Yorkshire can now visit Genesis Leeds on Gelderd Road to view the range, and more information is available at www.genesis.com.
