Parkers has named the Škoda Peaq Best Large Car in its 2027 New Car Awards, adding another UK title to the electric seven-seater before it reaches customers. The Peaq arrives in the UK in January and becomes the flagship of the Škoda range.

What the Parkers judges said about the Peaq

The judging panel pointed to the car’s all-round ability, attention to detail and family-friendly features. Parkers Head of Content Tom Webster said the Peaq “really feels like it has been engineered to improve family life”, calling it spacious, well thought out inside and easy to drive for something so large.

Webster also singled out several Simply Clever details, including a cleaner for the touchscreen, slots in the backs of the front seats for holding a phone and storage for the parcel shelf under the bonnet.

This is the second UK award for the model, which already took Large SUV of the Year in the annual News UK Motor Awards. In Germany, a jury of journalists and reviewers named it German Family Car of the Year.

Peaq platform, battery and range

Based on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, the Peaq is built in Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Republic and is the largest model Škoda makes. It measures nearly 4.9 metres in length, seats seven adults and offers 2 075 litres of luggage space with the second and third rows folded flat.

Power comes from an 86 kWh (net) battery, the largest yet fitted to a Škoda EV. Buyers can pick rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, with outputs of up to 299 PS and a driving range of up to 395 miles.

Price and trim levels in the UK

Three trim levels are offered in the UK, namely SE L, Edition and SportLine. The Peaq is available to order now from £51 980 OTR, with deliveries starting in January 2027.
