Third-quarter sales at OMODA & JAECOO grew for a third consecutive year in South Africa, with 4,310 vehicles delivered in Q3 2026. That is a 24.4% increase over the 3,464 units sold in Q3 2025 and more than triple the 1,392 units recorded in Q3 2024.
Over the same period, total local sales passed 30,000 vehicles. The group attributes the growth to the expansion of its local lineup, which has added new models and a wider choice of powertrains across several market segments.

Cumulative OMODA & JAECOO sales in South Africa
By the end of September 2026, the two brands had sold 31,990 units locally. Year-to-date sales of 12,630 units have already passed the 12,592 vehicles delivered in the whole of 2025.
“What stands out for us is the consistency of the growth we’re seeing,” said Shannon Gahagan, Head of Brand and Marketing for OMODA & JAECOO and iCAUR South Africa. She added that three straight years of higher third-quarter sales show the company is building real momentum in the market.
Record month for the C5 and J5
September closed the quarter as the highest monthly total to date, at 1,503 units. Both the C5, with 936 units, and the J5, with 410, set new monthly records.
The C5 remains the mainstay of the range. Its cumulative sales reached 21,293 units by the end of September, or 66.6% of all group sales since launch.
Electrified models and a broader sales mix
Recent additions such as the C7 and J5 have widened the brands’ coverage, while hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery-electric derivatives serve buyers looking for alternative powertrains. NEV penetration reached 21% in September, helped by the newly launched C5 SHS and J5 SHS.
Across the first nine months of 2026, electrified vehicles accounted for 2,081 deliveries. Monthly volumes fluctuated during the year, but the third-quarter figures show steady progress, rising from 1,392 units in 2024 to 3,464 in 2025 and 4,310 in 2026.
