- New PCM generation for four model lines.
- Up to five times the computing power.
- AI-based Voice Pilot using a language model.
- Apple Music available via the App Center.
- Gradual introduction in newly produced vehicles.
A new generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM) is being introduced for the 911, Taycan, Panamera and Cayenne. It pairs a new hardware platform with Porsche Digital Interaction and an expanded digital ecosystem, giving the four model lines the same user experience.
Oliver Seifert, Head of Infotainment & Connect, said the combination of a modern system-on-chip architecture, Porsche Digital Interaction and the wider ecosystem “enables us to continuously develop the in-car Porsche experience.”

Porsche PCM hardware and updates
The system-on-chip architecture offers up to five times the computing power of the previous generation. This brings faster start-ups, shorter loading times and smoother operation, with apps staying active in the background so that switching between them is quicker. Comprehensive over-the-air updates allow software and selected functions to be developed further after the vehicle has been delivered.
Porsche Digital Interaction design and controls
First seen in the Cayenne Electric, the design and interaction language now extends to the 911, Taycan, Panamera and the combustion and hybrid Cayenne models. Clear layouts and a uniform operating logic run across the various displays. A freely rotatable 3D model of the car, shown in its actual exterior colour, gives direct access to selected vehicle functions and settings, while five selectable themes and configurable widgets allow personalisation.
Navigation Plus and Voice Pilot
Navigation Plus adds a new 3D map display and uses online map data and real-time traffic information. In fully electric vehicles, the Porsche Charging Planner plans charging stops and accounts for battery preconditioning.
The enhanced Voice Pilot is AI-powered and based on a large language model, so it can handle natural language, multi-step requests and follow-up questions. Drivers can use it to control navigation, media, selected vehicle functions and selected apps.

Apps, Apple Music and availability
Through the App Center, owners can select, download and update Porsche and third-party apps covering audio and video streaming, navigation, parking and charging. For the first time, Apple Music is available directly in the car, supporting Dolby Atmos with the Bose and Burmester 3D High-End Surround Sound Systems in selected Connect markets. A subscription and a Dolby Atmos-capable sound system are required. Smartphone integration adds map display in the instrument cluster and, in selected markets, EV routing with battery preconditioning.
The system will be introduced gradually in newly produced 911, Taycan, Panamera and Cayenne models, with availability depending on market, model, production date and equipment.
