Battery electric vehicle sales in the UK have passed 100 000 for Vauxhall, with the 100 000th car a Grandland Electric 213PS Ultimate delivered by Drive Vauxhall Nuneaton. As of October 2026, the brand had sold 102 852 EVs in the UK.
The Grandland recently placed third overall in the 2026 Auto Express Driver Power reliability survey and was named best mid-size SUV.

Vauxhall electric sales growth since 2021
UK sales reached 10 000 in 2021 and 50 000 in 2023, a tenfold rise to today’s figure. The Mokka Electric is the best seller, with more than 26 000 sales since its 2020 launch, followed by the Corsa Electric at more than 23 000 since launching the same year.
On the commercial side, Vauxhall was the UK’s best-selling electric van manufacturer from 2021 to 2023. The Combo Electric is built in the UK at Ellesmere Port, the country’s first EV-only volume manufacturing plant.
From Ampera to Corsa Electric
The first electric Vauxhall was the Ampera, sold from 2011 with Range Extender technology. The Corsa-e followed in 2019 with a 50kWh battery, 136hp and up to 209 miles (WLTP). Today’s Corsa Electric has a 51kWh battery, 156hp and a range of 265 miles (WLTP).
By the end of 2024 every passenger car in the range had an electric version, eight models in total. The Mokka GSE and Corsa GSE are the fastest electric production cars the brand has built.

Pricing and charging in the UK
Frontera Electric and Frontera Hybrid launched at the same list price, a first in the UK car market. The New Astra followed with matching on-the-road prices for all electrified versions, and with the Electric Car Grant applied the Astra Electric costs less than the hybrid and plug-in hybrid.
Eurig Druce, Vauxhall Managing Director, said the focus is “to continue making electric mobility more accessible and attainable for British drivers and businesses.”
Launched in 2023, the Electric Streets of Britain campaign has seen more than 13 000 UK streets registered as needing on-street charging. Its data has gone to char.gy, Connected Kerb and Kerbo Charge, and drivers can register at www.electricstreets.co.uk.
