It is a wet and cool week ahead across the Eastern Cape, so keep the raincoat handy. In Gqeberha we start on the mild side around 16 to 23 degrees with rain showers on Monday, then a brighter, partly cloudy Tuesday reaching 21. From Wednesday onwards it cools down noticeably, sitting between 13 and 18 degrees with rain showers most days, easing to slight rain by Saturday and high level clouds on Sunday.
Further inland and along the coast things run a touch warmer early on, with showers and thundershowers pushing Mthatha up to 31 degrees and Queenstown to 26, while East London sees 25. These settle into steady rain showers as the week goes on. A good tip is to plan outdoor jobs for the drier windows and carry an umbrella, especially in Gqeberha and Mthatha.
