Spring is showing its full range across the Western Cape this week. We kick off warm and bright on Monday 21 September, with Cape Town reaching a lovely 31C under clear skies, while Stellenbosch climbs to 31C and Paarl even higher at 32C. Things shift from Tuesday, when showers and thundershowers roll in and temperatures start easing off. By midweek it turns properly cool and cloudy in Cape Town, dropping to around 19C on Wednesday, with rain showers returning by Friday before partly cloudy skies settle in for the weekend.
If you are heading out midweek, pack a jacket and keep an umbrella handy, especially through the wet spell from Tuesday onwards. George stays on the cooler, cloudier side throughout, sitting around 19 to 21C with showers by later in the week. A mixed one, so dress in layers and enjoy the warm start while it lasts.
