The video in brief
- Basson Laubscher performs a Fleetwood Mac cover
- Song is the rock classic Oh Well
- Live performance filmed in the band cave
- A heavier spin on the original
Basson Laubscher and his band take on Oh Well, the Fleetwood Mac classic, in this rock cover. The musicians are big fans of Peter Green and devotees of Fleetwood Mac, and their version gives the song a heavier spin than the original. The performance came together while the band was jamming informally.
The video is a live recording made in the band’s rehearsal space, which they call the band cave. It captures the performance as it happened, including a slip in the second verse that the band has owned up to and apologised for, putting it down to the nature of live rock and roll.
