The Cat in the Hat is an American animated fantasy comedy loosely based on the 1957 children’s book by Dr. Seuss. Written and directed by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja, it is the second feature-length adaptation of the book after the 2003 live-action film. The voice cast includes Bill Hader, Matt Berry, Quinta Brunson, Xochitl Gomez and Tiago Martinez, with music by Lorne Balfe.
The trailer sets up the Cat’s toughest assignment as an agent of the I.I.I.I. (Institute for the Institution of Imagination and Inspiration, LLC). On his last chance to prove himself to his exasperated boss and keep the stripes on his hat, he must cheer up siblings Gabby and Sebastian, who are struggling after a move to a new town. The 91-minute film opens on 4 November 2026 at Nu Metro cinemas.
