Godzilla Minus Zero is a Japanese kaiju film set in 1949, two years after the Shikishima family survived their first ordeal with the legendary monster, as they confront a fresh catastrophe. A sequel to Godzilla Minus One (2023), it is written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki, who also handles the visual effects. Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe star, alongside Yuki Yamada, Kuranosuke Sasaki and Jun Kunimura.
The official trailer introduces the 39th film in the Godzilla franchise and the 34th produced by Toho, with music by Naoki Satō. The science fiction, horror and action film runs 135 minutes and is in Japanese and English. Godzilla Minus Zero is set for release on 6 November 2026 and will be showing at Nu Metro cinemas in South Africa.
